Synopsis
Eddie Owens, a small-town bodybuilder chasing a coveted professional card, lives under the intense devotion of his religious mother Joanne, who manages his career. After a painful loss at a local competition, Eddie’s confidence fractures, revealing the pressure behind his carefully curated physique. Seeking an edge, he turns to veteran bodybuilder Mike, whose brutal training pulls him deeper into the dangerous world of performance-enhancing drugs. As Mike becomes his mentor and gatekeeper to the elite bodybuilding world, Eddie develops an attraction to him that clashes with the rigid masculinity and conservative church culture shaping his life.
